The Local Compliance Officer must have a Bachelor or Master's degree in Law or Business, with a minimum of 5 years of working experience, including at least 3 years focused on compliance, particularly in anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering, trade sanctions, and data privacy. Proficiency in MS Office and strong organizational and presentation skills are essential.

Overview:The Local Compliance Officer (LCO) drives the implementation in the country of the Holcim Compliance Program and its 5 elements (risk assessment; controls; training & communications; monitoring, reporting and follow-up, as well as organization and governance) in line with the Group Compliance strategy cascaded by the Area and the Region.The LCO focuses on prevention, detection and remediation of compliance risks and ensures they are addressed appropriately.The LCO works closely with the ACO, the country GC and the relevant functions in the country (i.e. Procurement, HR, Sustainability) to ensure the overall strategy of the Compliance program is consistent with local legal requirements.The LCO supports and advises the Local Management teams to drive and promote the Code of Business Conduct (CoBC) within the country.Responsibilities:Supports and advises RCO and LGC&C (Legal General Counsel & Compliance) when creating the annual Country Compliance PlanProvides compliance-related advice to the GC and Local ManagementDevelops stakeholder relationships and acts cross functionally enabling local management to better understand compliance risk exposure areasMaintains a solid understanding of local activities to anticipate risks.Support of the Group Functions:Contributes when required to investigations of potential compliance issuesSupports and assists Local Management to mitigate or resolve local compliance risks identified by the different risk assurance functions.Local Implementation of the Group Compliance Program:Supports and advices the country GC in the implementation of new or revised compliance-related policies, directives and guidance ensuring appropriate and necessary modifications specific to the country are madeEnsures effective implementation of compliance-related processes (e.g. Third-Party Due Diligence) and adequate training of all relevant functionsAdapts and either trains the trainer or delivers compliance training that meets needs of local employees and at the same times meets the requirements of the training program Contributes to new business projects by anticipating and addressing key compliance risks (e.g. via Compliance Due Diligence) and / or mitigation plans.Reporting and Monitoring:Ensures reporting from country level on various key indicators related to implementation and health of the Compliance ProgramHelps management to promote speaking up culture and supports CoBC breaches recordingMaintains appropriate documentation of Compliance support activities and monitors remediation resulting from conducted investigationsReviews internal / external audit reports in which compliance issues are raised at country level and supports remediation.Regulatory:Maintains a solid understanding of applicable local law and regulation developments, consulting the LGC&CSupports the LGC&C when interacting with local authorities or regulators regarding compliance matters.Education, Qualifications & Experience:Education:Bachelor or Master's degree in Law or Business.Technical Skills:Proven track record of working successfully in an international environmentExcellent with MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)Capable of providing meaningful input to management, M&A and project teams in terms of compliance assessment and diligence requirementsSolid business and financial acumenStrong organizational and presentation skills.Experience:Minimum of 5 years of working experienceMinimum of 3 years of strong compliance focus (particularly in areas of Anti-bribery and corruption plus some experience with anti-money laundering, trade sanctions, data privacy).
