Job Purpose:Responsible for managing and leading end-to-end procurement activities for Power and Substation projects, ensuring timely procurement of equipment, materials, and services at competitive costs while meeting required quality, technical, and project schedule requirements.Key Responsibilities:Lead end-to-end procurement activities for Power and Substation projects.Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, vendors, and subcontractors.Identify, source, and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, delivery capability, technical requirements, and project experience.Manage RFQs, quotation evaluations, commercial comparisons, and supplier selection.Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, payment terms, warranties, and delivery schedules to achieve the best value.Coordinate closely with Engineering, Projects, Finance, Commercial, and QA/QC teams to ensure timely and effective procurement.Monitor purchase orders, supplier performance, manufacturing progress, deliveries, and material availability.Ensure timely procurement and delivery of critical and long-lead items required for substation projects.Identify cost-saving opportunities, alternative suppliers, and alternative sources of supply.Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, approved budgets, project specifications, and contractual requirements.Resolve supplier-related commercial, delivery, and performance issues and mitigate procurement risks.Manage, mentor, and develop the procurement team to achieve departmental and project objectives.Education:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain/Procurement, Business Administration, or a related discipline.Professional procurement/supply-chain certification such as CIPS is an advantage.Experience:12-15 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably within the Power, Electrical, Energy, Utilities, or EPC industry.Proven experience in procurement for Substation, Transmission, Distribution, or Power projects.Experience in sourcing and negotiating electrical equipment, materials, services, and subcontract packages.Strong experience in supplier management, commercial negotiations, cost optimization, and project procurement.Previous experience in leading and developing a procurement team is preferred.
