Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 7-12 years of procurement/supply-chain experience, preferably in BESS, solar EPC, renewable energy, electrical infrastructure, or power projects. Demonstrated experience in procuring BESS or major electrical equipment, a strong understanding of BESS technical and commercial requirements, and experience handling large-value international procurement packages are essential. Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle and good knowledge of MS Office are also required.

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Manager - BESS to join our team,to be based in Sharjah, UAE. Procurement manager will be responsible to lead the end-to-end procurement and commercial sourcing of BESS equipment and associated electrical systems for utility-scale and commercial renewable energy projects.Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute procurement strategies for BESS projects based on project specifications, technical requirements, project schedules, and budget.Identify suitable domestic and international suppliers/OEMs for BESS and associated equipment.Develop and maintain an approved supplier/vendor database.Conduct market intelligence and monitor battery cell, module, rack, PCS, and BESS system pricing and availability.Identify, prequalify, and evaluate BESS manufacturers, system integrators, and key component suppliers.Assess suppliers based on technical capability, manufacturing capacity, certifications, financial strength, project references, warranty, service capability, and delivery performance.Conduct supplier audits and factory assessments where required.Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs based on approved technical specifications and BOQs.Obtain and evaluate techno-commercial offers from suppliers.Prepare commercial comparison statements, cost analyses, and negotiation strategies.Prepare and release purchase orders/contracts in line with approved commercial terms.Ensure purchase orders accurately reflect technical specifications, quantities, delivery milestones, payment terms, warranties, and contractual obligations.QualificationsBachelor's degree Electrical Engineering.7–12 years of procurement/supply-chain experience, preferably within BESS, solar EPC, renewable energy, electrical infrastructure, or power projects.Demonstrated experience in procurement of BESS or major electrical equipment.Strong understanding of BESS technical and commercial requirements.Experience handling large-value procurement packages and international suppliers.Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is an advantageGood knowledge of MS Office.
