Support engineering design activities for power projects, substations, utility buildings, and associated infrastructure.Prepare, develop, and review engineering drawings, layouts, calculations, specifications, schedules, and technical documents.Review project requirements, tender documents, client specifications, applicable codes, and site conditions to establish design requirements.Coordinate design activities with Civil, Structural, Electrical, MEP, BIM, Planning, Procurement, Construction, and QA/QC teams.Develop design solutions that are technically sound, practical, cost-effective, and suitable for construction.Prepare and update detailed design drawings, layouts, sections, details, schematics, and engineering documentation.Review and coordinate multidisciplinary drawings to identify design clashes, interface issues, and inconsistencies.Assist in preparing engineering calculations, design reports, material specifications, BOQs, and technical schedules.Ensure design deliverables comply with approved project specifications, applicable international standards, UAE regulations, authority requirements, and client standards.Review design inputs received from clients, consultants, vendors, and other engineering disciplines.Coordinate with site teams to understand existing conditions and incorporate site requirements into design solutions.Prepare and respond to RFIs, technical queries, design clarifications, and site-related engineering issues.Review shop drawings, material submittals, vendor drawings, technical data, and other contractor submissions.Assist in evaluating design changes, deviations, and proposed alternatives and provide appropriate technical recommendations.Participate in design review meetings, technical coordination meetings, constructability reviews, and value engineering workshops.Conduct design checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, constructability, and compliance with project requirements.Coordinate with BIM teams to ensure engineering information is correctly incorporated into coordinated BIM models where applicable.Support preparation and updating of as-built drawings and final engineering documentation.Maintain design registers, drawing registers, document revisions, technical submissions, and engineering records.Ensure all design deliverables are issued in accordance with project document-control procedures and approved schedules.Coordinate with procurement teams to provide technical information required for material and equipment procurement.Support technical evaluation of supplier and vendor proposals, drawings, and documentation.Assist project teams during construction by resolving design-related technical issues and providing timely engineering support.Conduct site visits and inspections when required to verify design conditions and construction requirements.Monitor engineering deliverables and highlight potential design-related risks or delays to senior engineers and project management.Support preparation of technical specifications, tender documentation, BOQs, and scope-of-work documents.Assist in reviewing variations, additional works, design changes, and technical inputs for commercial assessments.Maintain compliance with company engineering procedures, quality requirements, HSE considerations, and professional standards.Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and designers as required.Identify opportunities for design optimization, value engineering, constructability improvement, and cost reduction.
