About the role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced middle school special educator to join our inclusion team. The successful candidate will support students with additional learning needs by providing targeted interventions, promoting classroom inclusion, and working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and specialists to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.
Key responsibilities
Provide individual and small-group interventions to support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development.
Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress against identified targets.
Collaborate with subject teachers to implement effective differentiation, scaffolding, accommodations, and inclusive classroom strategies.
Use assessment data and observations to identify learning needs and inform appropriate interventions.
Work closely with parents, teachers, counsellors, therapists, and the inclusion team to ensure a coordinated approach to student support.
Promote student wellbeing, independence, confidence, and active participation in the school community.
Maintain accurate student records and contribute to case reviews, meetings, and relevant school initiatives.
Support the development of inclusive practices and contribute to staff awareness and professional learning.
