The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with a wide range of mental health conditions while delivering compassionate, evidence-based care in accordance with DHA regulations and international clinical standards. Key responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including mental status examinations and risk assessments. Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of psychiatric disorders, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, and substance use disorders. Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating pharmacological and psychotherapeutic interventions. Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications while ensuring patient safety and treatment efficacy. Provide crisis intervention and emergency psychiatric assessments when required. Offer counseling, psychoeducation, and support to patients and their families. Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, primary care physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with DHA regulations and hospital policies. Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and quality improvement initiatives. Adhere to ethical standards, patient confidentiality, and evidence-based clinical practices. Requirements Qualifications Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) recognized by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA). MD, DNB, Arab Board, MRCPsych, or equivalent qualification in psychiatry. Eligibility for specialist or consultant psychiatrist designation as per DHA Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR). Valid DHA license or DHA eligibility letter is preferred. Experience Specialist: Minimum experience as per DHA PQR requirements for specialist psychiatry. Consultant: Minimum experience as per DHA PQR requirements for consultant psychiatry. Experience in outpatient, inpatient, or community mental health settings is highly preferred. Experience treating patients across diverse cultural backgrounds is an advantage.
