The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of a broad range of psychiatric and mental health conditions. The role offers an opportunity to work in a professional, multidisciplinary environment focused on patient-centered care. Key responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and clinical evaluations. Diagnose and manage a wide range of mental health and psychiatric conditions. Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's clinical needs. Provide medication management and monitor treatment response and potential side effects. Provide appropriate psychotherapy and counseling within the physician's qualifications and scope of practice. Manage patients with depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, and other psychiatric conditions. Assess patients presenting with acute psychiatric symptoms and determine appropriate treatment or referral. Evaluate suicide and self-harm risk and implement appropriate safety and management plans. Provide ongoing follow-up and continuity of psychiatric care. Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, counselors, nurses, social workers, and other medical specialists. Refer patients for additional psychological, neurological, medical, or specialized assessment when clinically appropriate. Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date medical records. Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and care plans clearly and sensitively to patients and families. Promote mental health awareness, preventive care, and appropriate patient education. Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, clinical audits, quality improvement, and patient-safety initiatives. Follow DHA regulations, professional standards, ethical guidelines, and facility policies. Requirements MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical qualification from a recognized institution. Recognized postgraduate qualification in psychiatry. Relevant post-specialization clinical experience. DHA license or DHA eligibility is preferred. Candidates meeting DHA eligibility requirements may also be considered. Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills. Experience managing a diverse range of psychiatric and mental health conditions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong ethical standards and a patient-centered approach.
