Job description
We are seeking a highly qualified Specialist / Consultant Pediatric Neonatologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Al Ain, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive neonatal care, managing critically ill newborns, and delivering evidence-based treatment in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of neonatal care.
Key responsibilities
Provide expert diagnosis, treatment, and management of premature, critically ill, and high-risk newborns.
Manage patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), including ventilator support and advanced neonatal procedures.
Attend high-risk deliveries and provide immediate neonatal resuscitation and stabilization.
Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, anesthesiologists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals for coordinated patient care.
Perform neonatal procedures such as umbilical catheterization, intubation, lumbar puncture, and chest tube insertion as required.
Participate in neonatal follow-up clinics and developmental assessments.
Ensure accurate clinical documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
Educate and counsel parents regarding neonatal conditions, treatment plans, and long-term care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and infection control programs.
Supervise junior medical staff, residents, and fellows (consultant level).
Participate in departmental meetings, CME activities, and research programs.

Minimum 5–8 years of post-board certification experience as a Consultant.
Extensive experience in tertiary care hospitals and advanced NICU management.
Proven leadership, teaching, and research experience is preferred.
