Overview of the role
Join BYD and Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility, one of the fastest-growing EV brands in the UAE. We are looking for a skilled BYD General Repair Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work while delivering exceptional quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
What you will do
Carry out maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work on BYD vehicles
Perform repairs in line with EV safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
Ensure Fix It Right and First-Time-Right repair standards are achieved
Conduct vehicle inspections and support Electronic Vehicle Check reporting
Follow workshop safety, quality, and 5S standards
Meet productivity and utilization targets
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to resolve technical issues
Maintain a clean and professional workshop environment
Required skills to be successful
Strong technical and mechanical skills
Experience in diagnostics, maintenance, and vehicle repairs
Good understanding of automotive systems and repair processes
Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
Ability to follow workshop manuals and service procedures
Good communication skills in English
Passion for learning new technologies and EV systems
