Responsible for maintenance of equipment, sub stations, Gate, Administration building, staff colony, work stations, and fire pump. Perform routine, preventive, and breakdown maintenance, including inspections and corrective actions. Attend breakdowns, perform fault diagnosis, and correct issues on equipment. Act as a supervisor for repairs and respond to hazards. Record job status, manpower, and equipment status in logbooks. Maintain breakdown records and verify job reports. Contact external contractors for major/critical breakdown rectification. Create and implement preventive maintenance documents using Planned Maintenance Software. Achieve optimum equipment availability with minimum downtime while adhering to safety standards. Prioritize issues based on severity. For Mechanical Engineers, possess in-depth knowledge of engines, hydraulics, ropes, and gearboxes. Inspect emergency generators, administration building lifts, fire systems, and yard floodlights. Undertake assigned tasks and report unsafe conditions. Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and environment policies. Report any equipment abnormalities promptly.
Description

 

  1. Responsible for maintenance at the time of equipment, sub stations, Gate, Administration building, staff colony, work stations, fire pump

  2. Routine / Preventive / Breakdown maintenance of equipments.  Routine inspections on equipments and corrective actions thereafter. 

  3. Attend breakdowns and fault diagnosis and correction on equipments.

  4. Act as a supervisor in terms of areas of repairs and respond promptly and positively to reported hazards

  5. Recording of the jobs, manpower and equipment status in the shift logbook.  Verify job reports submitted by the shift staff.

  6. Maintain breakdown records for the shift. Recording of the breakdown time of equipments in the breakdown report sheet.

  7. Contact outside Contractors/Consultants for speeding up major / critical breakdown rectification jobs.

  8. Creating a Preventive maintenance Documents for equipment as per their schedule and implementation through the Planned Maintenance Software.

  9. Implementing maintenance practices to achieve optimum equipment availability with minimum downtime while adhering strictly to safety standards and perform preventive maintenance when equipments are ideal

  10. Prioritizing the issues as per severity

  11. For Electrical Engineer –In-depth knowledge on PLC and Drive system 

  12. For mechanical Engineer – In-depth knowledge on Engine, Hydraulics, Ropes & Gear box 

  13. Routine inspection and checks of Emergency Generators, Administration Building lift, Fire system and Yard Flood lights.

  14. Undertake any specific task / responsibility assigned by superiors.

  15. Report on any unsafe conditions in the Terminal or area of work.

  16. Ensure that the company health, safety & environment policy and procedures are observed. 

  17. To report any abnormality observed on equipment on priority to the Supervisor
