HR Generalist Sukari is located approximately 750km from Cairo and 25km from Marsa Alam on the Red Sea. First gold was poured in June 2009 and commercial production began in April 2010, making Sukari the first modern gold mine in Egypt, a country which in ancient times was a prolific producer of the precious metal. Sukari conducts both open-pit and underground mining operations, each employing specialised mining methods tailored to the orebody characteristics and operational requirements. The Role AngloGold Ashanti is seeking an HR Generalist for Sukari Gold Mine in Egypt. The role provides support to the HR Business Partners and the wider HR team across day-to-day human resources activities.The HR Generalist supports personnel policy guidance, benefits administration, onboarding, training coordination, payroll support, employee records, reporting, and employee relations matters. The role also works closely with HR Business Partners on staffing needs, talent management processes, and maintaining employee morale and company culture. Location: Sukari Gold Mine EgyptContract Type: Full TimeSchedule: 20/10 roster travelling from POH The Key Responsibilities HR Support: Support the HR Business Partners with day-to-day activities and respond to HR-related inquiries promptly.Policies and Compliance: Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements.Benefits and Payroll: Coordinate enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs, and assist with payroll processing as required.Expat Administration: Handle expat staff work permit procedures and visas, ensuring deadlines are met.Training and Onboarding: Market available training in line with the training needs plan, coordinate requested training, and administer new employee onboarding, induction, and orientation.Employee Relations and Records: Process complaints, assist with investigations and disciplinary actions, maintain personnel records, and conduct exit interviews where required.Reporting and Workforce Support: Support the preparation of the monthly HR report, ensure data integrity, monitor employee morale and company culture, and work with HR Business Partners on future staffing needs.
