Black Pearl is supporting a leading hospitality organisation in Abu Dhabi in the appointment of an experienced Infrastructure & Cyber Security Manager.
This is a senior IT management position for an experienced infrastructure professional who can lead a large technical team, maintain reliable and secure enterprise IT infrastructure, strengthen IT governance and compliance, and support the organisation's wider cybersecurity objectives.
The position is particularly suited to an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager, Infrastructure Manager, IT Operations Manager, Infrastructure & Security Manager, IT Infrastructure & Security Manager, Senior IT Manager or Head of Infrastructure who has strong hands-on infrastructure experience together with practical exposure to cybersecurity and IT governance.
The role is primarily focused on IT infrastructure, with cybersecurity forming an important secondary responsibility.
About the Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the stability, availability, performance and security of the organisation's IT infrastructure.
You will lead a sizeable IT team of approximately 30–50 professionals and work closely with the Head of IT and other senior stakeholders to ensure that technology services support business operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure Leadership
Lead and manage the organisation's IT infrastructure function.
Ensure the availability, reliability, scalability and performance of core IT infrastructure.
Oversee enterprise networks, servers, storage, virtualisation, cloud environments and related infrastructure services.
Develop and implement infrastructure strategies aligned with organisational requirements.
Identify opportunities to modernise, optimise and improve infrastructure performance.
Monitor infrastructure capacity, performance and availability.
Ensure appropriate backup, disaster recovery and business continuity arrangements are in place.
Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, implementations and technology improvement projects.
Ensure infrastructure incidents are investigated, resolved and properly documented.
Networking and Systems
Oversee enterprise network infrastructure and connectivity.
Work with technologies such as Cisco and other enterprise networking platforms.
Provide leadership across LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, firewalls and related network technologies.
Oversee server and systems administration across relevant Microsoft, Linux, virtualised and cloud environments.
Ensure appropriate monitoring, maintenance and preventive measures are implemented.
Work with technical teams to resolve complex infrastructure and systems issues.
Cybersecurity and Information Security
Support the organisation's cybersecurity strategy and security initiatives.
Ensure appropriate security controls are implemented across infrastructure environments.
Support vulnerability management, security assessments and incident response.
Oversee appropriate access controls and identity management processes.
Work closely with cybersecurity, risk and compliance stakeholders.
Identify infrastructure-related security risks and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
Promote security awareness and best practices across IT operations.
Team Management
Lead, mentor and develop a team of approximately 30–50 IT professionals.
Set clear objectives and performance expectations.
Support recruitment, training and professional development.
Allocate resources effectively across infrastructure and IT operations.
Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Manage escalations and provide technical leadership when required.
Requirements:
The successful candidate should have:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience in leading and managing IT teams.
Strong hands-on experience in IT infrastructure management.
Significant experience managing enterprise infrastructure environments.
Practical experience across networking, servers, systems, virtualisation and/or cloud infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, preferably including Cisco technologies.
Practical exposure to cybersecurity, infrastructure security and information security controls.
Experience with IT governance, risk management and compliance.
Strong knowledge of ISO-related standards and certification requirements, particularly ISO 27001 or comparable information security standards.
Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity.
Experience managing infrastructure projects and technology improvements.
Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Relevant professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Cisco certifications or equivalent infrastructure/cybersecurity certifications will be highly valued.
Candidates currently based in the UAE or wider GCC will be given strong consideration.
International candidates with exceptional infrastructure leadership, cybersecurity exposure and enterprise experience may also be considered, with relocation support available for the successful candidate.
