Requirements
The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, with proven experience in EPC projects within the Oil & Gas industry. Exposure to multi-sector projects including Civil, Marine, Power, and Industrial/Plant environments is essential. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline is required. Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and strong knowledge of Microsoft Project are necessary. PMP or PRINCE2 certification is an advantage, as are additional project controls or scheduling certifications.

Join a business with deep technical roots, where your voice is heard, your impact is visible, and your career is part of a legacy of excellence.Your RoleAs Planning Engineer, you will have the following areas of accountabilitiesProject Planning & SchedulingDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and other planning tools.Establish project baselines, milestones, and critical path activities.Ensure schedules accurately reflect all project phases, including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.Integrate subcontractor, vendor, and supplier schedules into the master project schedule.Update schedules regularly to reflect project changes, scope modifications, and resource requirements.Progress Monitoring & ReportingMonitor project performance against approved baselines.Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports highlighting project status, risks, delays, and recovery actions.Conduct Critical Path Analysis and Earned Value Management (EVM).Identify schedule variances and recommend corrective actions.Support project teams with forecasting and schedule recovery planning.Resource Planning & OptimizationCoordinate resource allocation across multiple projects and disciplines.Monitor workforce, equipment, and material utilization.Identify potential resource conflicts and propose optimization strategies.Collaborate with civil, marine, power, oil & gas, and plant teams to ensure efficient resource planning.Risk & Change ManagementIdentify schedule-related risks and opportunities.Support the development and implementation of mitigation strategies.Maintain schedule risk registers and monitor mitigation actions.Evaluate the impact of scope changes and change orders on project timelines.Assist in developing recovery plans and revised schedules when required.Stakeholder CoordinationWork closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning teams.Participate in project review meetings and provide planning insights.Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with project timelines.Communicate schedule updates effectively across all project stakeholders.Documentation & ComplianceMaintain all planning documentation and project records.Ensure compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and HSE guidelines.Support audits, client reviews, and project controls reporting requirements.What We're Looking ForExperience6-8 years of experience in project planning and scheduling.Proven experience in EPC projects within the Oil & Gas industry.Exposure to multi-sector projects including Civil, Marine, Power, and Industrial/Plant environments.Demonstrated success in managing complex project schedules from concept through commissioning.Education and CertificationsBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.PMP or PRINCE2 certification is an advantage.Additional project controls or scheduling certifications (e.g., AACE) will be highly regarded.Skills and CompetenciesAdvanced proficiency in Primavera P6.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project and project planning tools.Sound understanding of: Project Controls, Earned Value Management (EVM), Critical Path Method (CPM), Resource Planning & Leveling, Risk Analysis & Mitigation, Schedule ForecastingStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.Ability to prioritize multiple projects and perform effectively under pressure.What We OfferThe chance to contribute to some of UAE's Oil and Gas EPC Mega projects.A collaborative, supportive environment that values innovation and excellence.Opportunities for professional growth and career progression.Competitive salary and benefits package.Ready to be part of our teamIf you're inspired by what you've read and believe you're the right fit, we'd love to hear from you.Join Target Engineering and Construction Co.
