YOUR MISSION: The Finance Intern is responsible for developing, maintaining, and providing financial information, interpreting results to aid in the development of business strategies and tactics, and appraising outcomes HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACTConduct feasibility and assessment work for proposed and current projects to contribute to the development and continuous review of business casesProduce accurate reports by collecting data from various standard sources and inputting it into standard formatsWork with existing systems and protocols to perform designated economic research activities, either to support others or to deliver prescribed outcomes for part of a research programProvide basic financial modeling input into business cases, costs, and schedules to support business growthExtract and combine data to generate standard reports and use data management systems to access specific information as neededAssist in developing and delivering financial policies, guidelines, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulations and good financial practicesResolve complex queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on policies and procedures, referring the most complex issues to othersDevelop capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities, as well as formal and informal training and coachingMaintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulations, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist mediaProvide information and clarification on existing procedures, processes, and precedents HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH USPost-secondary non-tertiary education requiredBasic experience with simple office and operational systems
