About the job:
Lead the implementation and maintenance of competency based development programs for ADNOC Group in line with business requirements and global best practices to facilitate skill enhancement of the workforce and to support the development of a performance driven culture in the organization.
Job specific accountabilities part 1:
Review the competency development policies, procedures and practices in line with best fitting global best practices to support the achievement of department objectives.
Partner with business leadership to develop and establish competency models and career paths within the organization to promote employee capability in line with the strategic initiatives.
Ensure integration of competency standards requirements and training program development to ensure alignment with each other and to be consistent with the business requirements.
Establish training gaps vis-à-vis respective position competencies and hold consultative sessions with business, functional heads and employees, as appropriate to achieve required standards.
Implement competency based individual development programs for UAE national employees to facilitate the development of competencies.
Liaise with line management and determine competency program implementation schedules to facilitate achievement of skill levels required for company operations.
Participate and provide guidance to the development of competency development reference material to ensure comprehensiveness and world class quality to support achievement of program objectives.
Partner with the training function and provide input on the design and implementation of on the job training program for each division, whilst contributing to the analyses of program results and making revisions accordingly to continuously improve the programs in line with business requirements.
Job specific accountabilities part 2:
Develop and track competency assurance programs for the UAE national employees in accordance with ADNOC’s Competency Assurance Management Systems.
Organize review of competency development framework and provide recommendation to the management to ensure relevance of the framework to meet ADNOC business needs.
Lead the identification and resolution of CAMS or CBT implementation issues in consultation with all stakeholders to ensure timely achievement of program results.
Maintain strong relationships with business leaders across ADNOC and serve as an internal consultant to leaders on issues related to competency development in order to promote a learning culture within ADNOC Group.
Participate in the development and implementation of a career development and identification of high potential UAE nationals to ensure the development of suitable high potential and successor candidates for all key positions to facilitate business continuity in accord with ADNOC strategic initiatives.
Develop competency matrices for various roles (HQ staff and new recruits) to facilitate effective development of career ladders providing different options for talent movement in the organisation.
Provide guidance and advice on selection and negotiations with vendors for training services in order to obtain the optimum return on investment (ROI) from programs.
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor degree in HR, Business Administration & Management or equivalent. Eight years of experience in talent development and training with leadership development experience preferably in the oil and gas industry.
