Requirements
Requires a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Management, Supply Chain, or Logistics. Must have relevant experience in material control/coordination, preferably in piping, oil & gas, EPC, or industrial projects, with hands-on experience in piping materials and Material Take-Off (MTO). Proficiency in SAP for material management and a strong understanding of material receiving, inspection, storage, issuance, and traceability are essential.
Description
We are looking for an experienced Material Controller / Material Coordinator – Piping to manage the end-to-end flow of piping materials and ensure safe, accurate, and timely material availability for fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair activities.Key ResponsibilitiesRaise material requests and reservations in SAP based on approved project Material Take-Off (MTO).Prepare and maintain required material documentation, including MTCD and MTO forms.Coordinate with Procurement, Supply Chain, and Warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery and collection of materials.Receive and verify incoming piping materials against packing lists, purchase documents, specifications, quantities, and quality requirements.Ensure proper segregation and storage of materials for effective identification and traceability.Maintain accurate material master data, registers, and documentation.Ensure long-lead materials are properly color-coded according to project requirements.Maintain proper storage practices, including segregation of ferrous and non-ferrous materials and storage on elevated platforms.Issue materials to projects against authorized requests and maintain accurate issue records.Monitor material consumption and identify potential shortages, excess stock, or material availability issues.Coordinate with project, engineering, procurement, warehouse, and site teams to resolve material-related issues.Ensure full material traceability throughout the project lifecycle.Support piping fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair activities by ensuring materials are available when required.RequirementsDiploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.Relevant experience in material control/coordination, preferably within piping, oil & gas, EPC, or industrial projects.Hands-on experience with piping materials and Material Take-Off (MTO).Experience using SAP for material requests, reservations, inventory, or material tracking.Strong understanding of material receiving, inspection, storage, issuance, and traceability.Knowledge of Material Traceability Control Documents (MTCD) and material documentation.Good understanding of piping materials, specifications, certificates, and project requirements.Strong organizational and documentation skills.Excellent coordination and communication skills.Ability to monitor multiple material requirements and meet project deadlines.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
