We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced specialist psychiatrist to join a leading healthcare facility in the GCC.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for patients with a wide range of mental health conditions, while working closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Key responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, clinical interviews, and mental status examinations.
Diagnose and manage a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' clinical needs.
Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications and assess treatment response.
Provide appropriate psychotherapy and counseling within the scope of qualifications.
Manage patients with depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, and other psychiatric conditions.
Assess and manage patients presenting with psychiatric emergencies and acute behavioral disturbances.
Monitor patients for medication side effects, treatment response, and clinical progress.
Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and relapse prevention.
Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, social workers, nurses, and other medical specialists.
Maintain accurate and confidential medical records and clinical documentation.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education (CME).
Ensure compliance with the relevant GCC healthcare authority regulations, hospital policies, patient safety standards, and ethical guidelines.
Participate in on-call duties and emergency psychiatric coverage as required.
