The firm is recognised globally for its work across the Middle East, with a multi-cultural, highly regarded team of lawyers operating up to Senior Partner level and liaising closely with offices across the region and worldwide. The Role This is a newly available position supporting the Managing Partner and the Corporate team, with a strong focus on complex billing. The firm is looking to move quickly on this hire to support the needs of the team, so early applications are encouraged. Key Responsibilities Matter management, from engagement letters and due diligence through to close; Complex monthly timesheet and billing processes; Attending to invoices and expense reimbursements; Document preparation, editing, and management; Liaising with clients and third parties to update matter information, arrange document transfer and signature, and field general enquiries; Calendar, telephone and meeting management; Arranging travel and preparation of travel documents; Collaborating with the wider administration, operations and facilities team to ensure seamless admin support and to facilitate meetings and events; General office support including mail and print room duties; Ad hoc office, business development and practice projects. Requirements: Candidate Requirements Proven experience in a Legal Assistant/PA role, ideally supporting senior level professionals in a global practice; Experience handling complex billing processes is highly advantageous; Excellent organisation skills and demonstrated experience managing multiple simultaneous projects with tight deadlines; Strong communication skills with a history of working in a multi-cultural team and with contacts across several time zones; Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate to senior level proficiency in legal matter and billing software; A proactive and flexible approach, willing to step into a leadership role for admin processes as well as work collaboratively with colleagues.
