Desirable experience includes 10 years in aviation, 5 in safety management, managerial experience, training qualification, Flight Data Monitoring, and Fatigue Management.
Description
The SMS Supervisor will support and assist the Safety Manager in the development, implementation and management of Presidential Flights Safety Management System. He will deputize for the Safety Manager during times of temporary absence. In particular he will carry out duties in development of Safety Policy and Procedure, Risk Management, Safety Assurance, Safety Promotion and the Emergency Response Programme. The SMS Supervisor will take a leading role in the management and investigation of safety issues. He will also monitor and assess all aviation safety legislation and regulation which may impact the Safety Department, and recommend solutions to the Safety Manager by the production of draft policy, procedure, notices and manual updates.Qualifications/Requirements :Essential: Professional Pilots License or Licensed Aircraft Engineer or Aviation Safety related Degree.Desirable: Aviation Safety Degree level qualification.Certificates:Essential: Safety Management System, Safety Incident Investigator, Risk Management, Root Cause Analysis.Desirable: Occupational Safety and Health, Human Factors, Fatigue Management.Experience & Knowledge:Essential:7 Years of operational experience working in safety-oriented environments.3 years working in an Aviation Safety Management discipline.High standard of knowledge on Aviation Safety Management Systems.Desirable:10 years of operational experience in the aviation industry, including 5 years in aviation safety management.Managerial experience.Training qualification.Flight Data Monitoring.Fatigue Management.Skills:Fluent in spoken and written English. Excellent report writing skills. Excellent Communication and negotiation skills. Competent in MS Office.
