Requirements
Requires 3-5 years of experience as a machinist in a steel plant or heavy industry machine shop. Must have technical school education, computer exposure, and the ability to read engineering drawings. Experience with machine tools, machine shop operations, standard operating procedures, and quality systems is essential. Must be able to operate machine tools to create parts as per drawings or samples, follow SOPs and quality systems, and assist in plant operations during shifts, shutdowns, or breakdowns.
