Responsibilities:
Assist school in achieving its overall vision and strategic intentions and to contribute to the achievement of relevant targets as set out in the school’s improvement plan and self-evaluation form.
Comply with regulations pertaining to health and safety at work legislation and adhere to school policies relating to safe working practice and equal opportunities regulations.
Comply with the school’s Performance Management Policy ensuring challenging annual targets are set and to fulfil the role of performance management reviewer if directed to do so by the Principal.
Engage in annual training linked to child protection, safeguarding and health and safety together with all training deemed appropriate for the purpose of school improvement or performance management.
Comply with the school’s staff dress code at all times including the wearing of photo ID / lanyard.
Comply with the school’s computer Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) at all times.
Attend all staff briefings.
Sign out and sign in at relevant school reception if off site at any point during the normal working day.
Art:
Prepare materials and resources for lessons (paint, clay, printing materials, textiles, etc.).
Support set up and clear away practical activities.
Organise and maintain art equipment and specialist tools.
Manage stock levels.
Prepare GCSE and A-Level coursework materials.
Mount, label and display student artwork around the school.
Assist with exhibitions, open evenings and showcases.
Music:
Tune and maintain classroom instruments, including ukuleles, guitars, keyboards, and percussion instruments.
Prepare class sets of instruments prior to lessons and ensure they are returned and stored correctly afterwards.
Maintain and organise music practice rooms, rehearsal spaces, and instrument storage areas.
Carry out regular checks on audio equipment, including microphones, speakers, amplifiers, mixers, and cabling.
Identify, record, and report damaged instruments and equipment to the Head of Creative Arts.
Undertake minor repairs and maintenance of instruments where appropriate and within competence.
Ensure instruments and equipment are stored safely and securely.
