Requirements

They should be proficient in performing major inspections and overhauling of HDGT Frame 5, maintenance on stage 2 nozzles, laser alignments, and borescope inspections. Experience with Frame 6 is also required, along with the legal authorization to work in the UAE and a willingness to work offshore.

Bringing technology to life
As a field service engineer generalist - mechanical heavy-duty gas turbine, you will advise and counsel for pre-defined maintenance activities. To the extent specified during the performance of work, such service may also include testing, adjustment, programming, and other similar services as agreed upon with the headquarters technical assistance team.
As a field service engineer generalist - mechanical heavy-duty gas turbine, you will be responsible for:
Performing all preventive maintenance activities on Frame 5 single shaft and double shaft: major inspections, HGPIs, LTPIs, and CI
Performing all preventive maintenance activities on Frame 6: major inspections, HGPIs, LTPIs, and CI
Performing borescope inspection
Performing installation, commissioning, and startups of gas turbines
Handling mechanical inspection of the gas turbine's auxiliaries system
Handling mechanical inspection of the gas turbine's gearboxes
Performing laser alignment
Reviewing and implementing NICs/TILs
Responding to the buyer's technical inquiries utilizing BH technical support services
Maintaining a documented history of all mechanical modifications for the covered units
Supporting buyer's operation and maintenance staff with diagnostics counseling and addressing maintenance/operational issues on covered units
Performing equipment start-up, diagnostic, and troubleshooting
Performing water wash procedure
Performing lube oil and cooling water systems flushes as per recommended procedures
Performing pre-commissioning and commissioning of oil system, starting system, fuel gas system, and air system
Advising on the interpretation of drawings for installation optimization
Working closely with the instrumentation engineer during the maintenance, installation, calibration, and set-up of electrical instrumentation
Marking up all piping drawings to show piping modifications
Performing geometric dimensional checks of foundation, equipment, and auxiliaries’ skids positioning, leveling (ensure levelness and elevations of sub-sole plates and perform contact checks between sub-sole plates and package supports), and alignment
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
Have more than 10 years of relevant experience in the oil & gas, power, refinery, or turbomachinery industries
Be able to perform major inspections and overhauling independently of HDGT – Frame 5
Have maintenance experience in stage 2 nozzles
Be able to perform laser alignments and borescope inspection on all machines
Have experience in Frame 6
Be legally authorized to work in the UAE
Be willing to work offshore
