Job Summary:We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our Legal, Risk & Compliance team, supporting operations across both the UAE and Egypt markets. This role will report to the Head of Contracts & Compliance and play a key part in ensuring the company adheres to corporate governance standards and regulatory requirements, while also collaborating closely with the HR department to assist with employee-related compliance matters. Specific knowledge of UAE and Egyptian Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) legislation, goAML portal reporting, RERA and Land Department requirements, and RICS professional standards is highly valued given the real estate regulatory environment in which the company operates.Responsibilities of the role:Corporate Governance & Compliance:Assist in implementing and maintaining corporate governance policies and procedures.Support the preparation and submission of regulatory filings and compliance reports.Maintain accurate records of compliance documentation and ensure timely updates.Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and assist in updating internal policies accordingly.Licensing & Regulatory Affairs:Manage company licensing processes, including renewals, amendments and regulatory submissions.Liaise with government authorities to ensure compliance with local laws.Maintain a calendar of key regulatory deadlines and ensure timely action.UAE Anti-Money Laundering & Real Estate Regulatory Compliance:Monitor and ensure the company's compliance with the UAE Anti-Money Laundering, Combating the Financing of Terrorism and Proliferation Financing legislative framework, as amended from time to time, and its Cabinet and Implementing Decisions, as applicable to Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions (DNFBPs) such as real estate agents and brokers.Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) checks on clients and transactions, including Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for high-risk clients and politically exposed persons (PEPs).Maintain the company's registration on the goAML portal and prepare, review and submit Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs)/Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and other statutory filings via goAML in a timely manner.Monitor regulatory developments issued by the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA) and the relevant Land Department, and ensure company and broker/agent registrations, licences and disclosures (e.g., RERA broker cards, Ejari/Trakheesi registrations) remain current.Support compliance with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) professional and ethical standards across the company's real estate practice, where applicable.Maintain AML/CDD policies, procedures and risk assessments, keep training records up to date, and support internal and external AML audits and regulator inquiries.Egypt Entity & Employment Compliance:Ensure compliance of the Egypt-registered entity's employment practices with Egyptian Labour Law No. 14 of 2025 (as amended), including employment contracts, working hours, leave entitlements and termination procedures.Manage the entity's social insurance registration and contribution obligations for Egypt-based employees.Maintain the entity's commercial registration, tax card and other statutory filings and renewals with the Commercial Registry, GAFI, or Tax Authority, as applicable, to keep the entity in good standing.Egypt Anti-Money Laundering (AML) & Real Estate Regulatory Compliance:Monitor and ensure the Egypt entity's compliance with Egypt's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CFT) framework under Law No. 80 of 2002 (as amended), as applicable to Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions (DNFBPs) such as real estate brokers handling property sales.Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) checks on clients invoiced by the Egypt entity for real estate services, including Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for high-risk clients and politically exposed persons (PEPs).Register and maintain the entity's profile with the Egyptian Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Combating Unit (EMLCU) and prepare, review and submit Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) via Egypt's goAML platform in a timely manner.Maintain AML/CDD policies, procedures and risk assessments specific to the Egypt entity's real estate activities, keep training records up to date, and support internal and external AML audits and regulator inquiries.Internal Coordination & Support:Act as a liaison between Legal, Risk & Compliance department and external service providers & government agencies.Support internal audits and compliance reviews.Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive employee and company information.
