Description
Job PurposeFabricate and weld MS, GI, and stainless-steel frameworks and support structures for signboards, monument signs, gantries, and exhibition stands in accordance with approved fabrication drawings and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret fabrication drawings, structural layouts, and cutting lists for signage frames and support structuresPerform MIG, TIG, and Arc welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and galvanized sections as required by the jobFabricate signage substructures, back frames, mounting brackets, and monument sign bases to specified dimensions and tolerancesCut, bend, and shape metal sections using cutting torches, grinders, and metal-forming toolsCheck completed welds for strength, alignment, and finish; carry out grinding and smoothing of weld jointsEnsure structural fabrication can safely support cladding, acrylic faces, LED modules, and signage componentsCoordinate with the Installation and Site Inspection teams on structural requirements for site-mounted signageMaintain welding machines, gas cylinders, and fabrication tools; report equipment faultsFollow strict safety protocols for welding, including fire safety, PPE use, and safe handling of gas cylindersSupport site welding work for large-format or monument signage where fabrication must be completed on location
