1. ROLE PURPOSE
• To own Finkraft's technical understanding of hotel systems — how invoice, tax and booking data is created, transformed and lost across PMS, POS, CRS and GDS estates — and to define how that data can be extracted reliably and at scale across properties running different systems, different versions and different vendor relationships.
2. ABOUT FINKRAFT
• Finkraft is a fintech SaaS company building a Finance Operating System for Travel & Hospitality. We help enterprises and ecosystem players manage invoicing, indirect taxes (GST/VAT), commissions, reconciliation and payments through deep, domain-led platforms.
• In India, Finkraft supports 1,200+ enterprises on GST automation, including HCL, Cleartrip, Philips, Volkswagen, Cipla, BCG, Tata Communications and JSW.
• In the Middle East, we are building the next layer of that infrastructure around UAE e-invoicing (DCTCE / Corner-5), PEPPOL interoperability, payments and a hospitality-specific understanding of how hotels, TMCs and corporates actually bill each other.
• The timing is not incidental. The UAE's voluntary pilot phase opened in July 2026; the mandate reaches large VAT-registered businesses on 1 January 2027 and the remaining VAT-registered population on 1 July 2027. Every hotel, TMC and corporate in this market has to solve invoicing properly within the next twelve months. We are building for that deadline, founder-led and on the ground in Dubai.
3. ROLE CONTEXT
• Hotel invoice data is trapped inside systems that were never designed to release it — PMS folios, POS checks, CRS bookings, GDS messages and a finance system that sees only the summary. Every compliance and reconciliation product in this space eventually breaks on that reality.
• This role owns that reality for Finkraft. You are the person who knows exactly where a hotel's invoice data lives, how it moves, what corrupts it, and how to get it out at scale across properties running different systems and different versions of the same system.
4. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Map the end-to-end technology and data flow for a corporate booking: CRS/GDS ? PMS ? folio ? invoice ? POS ? finance system ? the corporate's AP.
• Own the technical view of how invoice and tax data is generated, where it is enriched, and where it is silently lost.
• Define integration approaches for extracting structured invoice data across mixed PMS estates — including where vendor cooperation is not available.
• Advise product and engineering on interface design, API and file-based options, data quality controls and what will realistically pass a hotel IT security review.
• Support hotel pilots: scope the integration, run it with property IT teams, and be honest about what will not work.
• Be our credible technical counterpart to hotel IT directors, corporate IT and hospitality technology vendors.

5. CANDIDATE PROFILE
Essential
• 8–15 years in hotel technology at cluster, area, regional or corporate level, with accountability across multiple properties.
• Hands-on production ownership of a property management system — Opera / Opera Cloud, Shiji, Infor HMS, Protel, Mews or equivalent — including folio handling, night audit and invoice generation.
• Practical working knowledge of point-of-sale integration, central reservation systems, channel management and GDS distribution through Amadeus, Sabre or Travelport.
• Demonstrated interface and integration experience — OXI, HTNG, two-way interfaces, APIs and file-based exchange — including diagnosing live interface failures.
• Experience leading a technology rollout, migration or integration across an estate of properties.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Desirable
• GCC hotel estate experience. Preferred but deliberately not required — PMS behaviour is consistent across markets and this pool is thin.
• Experience of mixed-brand or owner-operator estates where nothing is standardised.
• Vendor-side experience at a hospitality technology provider, in delivery rather than pre-sales.
• Exposure to hotel IT security review, PCI-DSS scope or data residency requirements in the UAE.
• Familiarity with hotel finance system integration (Opera to Sun, SAP, Oracle or Infor).
• Preferred industry background
• Indicative of where we expect to find this experience. Capability evidenced elsewhere is equally welcome.
• Cluster / Area / Regional IT and Technology leadership at Marriott, Accor, Hilton, IHG, Radisson, Rotana, Jumeirah, Emaar Hospitality, Millennium, Kerzner.
• Hospitality technology vendors: Oracle Hospitality, Shiji, Infor, Protel, Agilysys, Mews, Cloudbeds, D-EDGE.
• Distribution and connectivity: SiteMinder, Cendyn / Pegasus, Derbysoft, Amadeus Hospitality, Sabre Hospitality, Synxis, HotelRunner.
• Revenue and rate systems adjacent to the PMS: IDeaS, Duetto, RateGain.
• Systems integrators and managed service providers delivering hotel technology in the GCC.
• Owner-operator and hotel management companies running mixed-brand estates — often the strongest profiles, because nothing is standardised for them.
