External Job DescriptionThe Production Team Lead is responsible for leading day-to-day manufacturing operations within an assigned production area, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of production plans.The role manages shopfloor teams, coordinates resources, drives operational performance, and ensures adherence to production, quality, and safety standards. Working closely with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Training, the Production Team Lead fosters continuous improvement, develops team capability, and supports the delivery of Pulse Nova's manufacturing objectives in a regulated defense environment.ResponsibilitiesLead daily production execution for the assigned area/shift, delivering Safety, Quality and Delivery targets (output, schedule adherence)Plan and manage staffing: operator allocation, skills matching and workload distribution to meet takt and line prioritiesRun daily tier meetings and visual management (SQDC boards), escalating blockers with data and ensuring closure of actionsEnsure product quality: standard work compliance, in‑process checks, traceability, documentation and immediate defect containmentCoach and develop operators (on‑the‑job training), coordinating with Training/DOJO for onboarding, certification and re‑certification needsDrive CI on the shopfloor (5S, waste removal, defect reduction, process stabilization) and sustain improvements through auditsPartner with Maintenance/ Engineering to tackle downtime and process issues (first response, RCA, preventive actions) and prevent recurrenceRequirements8+ years in manufacturing environments, with at least 2 years leading shopfloor teams (shift/area responsibility)Solid understanding of production KPIs (output, schedule adherence, FPY, scrap/rework, OTD/OTIF) and daily management routinesExperience with defect containment and structured root cause analysis (5‑Why, 8D/A3) and action follow‑up to closureProven ability to work in ramp‑up contexts with changing priorities, shortages/constraints and high execution intensityStrong communication and coaching skills, able to lead multicultural teams and enforce standard work discipline
