Summary
The Planning Manager - eCommerce plays a critical role in driving data-led decision-making across a global ecom business. This role owns forecasting and inventory planning processes while ensuring strong alignment across commercial, finance, marketing, and supply chain teams.
You will go beyond execution - challenging assumptions, identifying risks and opportunities proactively, and influencing business decisions through robust, driver-based planning. Operating as a thought partner to key stakeholders, you will bring strong commercial acumen, agility, and a global mindset to continuously improve forecast accuracy, inventory efficiency, and overall business performance.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Own business forecasting across all time horizons (weekly to annual), with accountability for forecast accuracy as the primary KPI
Drive adoption and optimisation of planning tools (e.g., FuturMaster), phasing out reliance on manual processes
Develop and maintain robust, driver-based forecasting models incorporating marketing plans, launch phasing, distribution strategy, product typology, benchmarks, and early sales signals
Partner cross-functionally (commercial, finance, S&OP, supply chain, operations) to ensure forecasts are aligned with business strategy
Actively challenge assumptions and inputs to improve forecast integrity and planning quality
Translate data into clear, actionable recommendations that influence business decisions
Own and contribute demand inputs into monthly demand review cycles with clear, data-backed inputs
Apply strong commercial awareness, including stock provisions, excess risk, and P&L impact
Manage end-to-end product lifecycle planning, including new launches, assortment updates, and discontinuations
Align planning outputs with promotional strategy, marketing calendar, GWP/sampling, and bundling initiatives
Monitor launch and campaign performance and dynamically reforecast based on early signals (within approximately 4–8 weeks)
Identify risks early (stock-outs, overstock, slow movers) and drive timely mitigation actions
Manage inventory health across markets, ensuring optimal availability while minimising excess and ageing stock
Continuously refine forecasts based on real-time performance and structured feedback loops
Ensure strong alignment between launch performance and future planning assumptions
Identify inefficiencies and drive automation and process improvements across planning workflows
Improve tools, dashboards, and planning frameworks to enhance decision-making speed and quality
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Analytics, or a related field
5–8 years’ experience in demand planning, business planning, or supply chain

Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP, Shopify, and Power BI preferred
Proven ability to take ownership and drive outcomes independently
Ability to identify issues, think critically, and act with a solution-oriented mindset
Strong collaboration skills with ability to work cross-functionally
Clear communication skills with ability to present insights in a structured manner
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment
Experience in beauty, fashion, or lifestyle industries preferred
