Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, Master’s degree preferred
· 10+ years’ ears of experience in project planning, scheduling, and management within the construction industry, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
Ability to oversee project execution from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget constraints, Competent with Primavera P6.
Ability to identify potential problems in scheduling or resource allocation and devise effective solutions to minimize impacts on the overall project timeline.
Strong negotiation skills to work with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring agreements are beneficial for all parties while maintaining project objectives
High attention to detail when preparing schedules, tracking progress, and reviewing plans and budgets to ensure accuracy and quality.
Description
Responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and coordination of all project-related activities to ensure that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards. The role focuses on aligning project goals with resources, managing risks, and implementing efficient strategies for execution while maintaining constant communication with key stakeholders. The Project Planning Manager will lead and direct project teams to develop and manage comprehensive project plans, optimize resources, and track performance throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to align schedules and ensure smooth project progression.Integrate all aspects of the construction project, including design, procurement, construction, and handover, into a cohesive project schedule.Allocate resources efficiently, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to support project requirements and optimize resource utilization.Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely acquisition and delivery of materials and equipmentDevelop budgets based on cost estimates and monitor expenditures throughout the project lifecycle.Develop risk mitigation strategies to address issues proactively and ensure project continuity.Strong negotiation skills to work with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring agreements are beneficial for all parties while maintaining project objectivesFacilitate clear and effective communication among project teams, ensuring stakeholders are informed of project status, milestones, and changes.· Solid understanding of construction processes & methods in relation to scheduling & resource planning.· Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of accountability & teamwork.· Promote a safe work environment that encourages innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.· Conduct audits to verify workmanship & compliance with contractual agreements & industry standards.· Prepare and manage the project’s budget, ensuring it aligns with the overall financial goals.· Ability to remain flexible and adapt project plans quickly in response to unforeseen circumstances, delays, or scope changes.
