About the Job:The Paint Shop Production Engineer supports safe, efficient and high-quality automotive painting operations. The role monitors processes, solves production and equipment problems, improves performance and works with production, maintenance, quality and safety teams.Responsibilities:Monitor paint-shop production, process conditions, equipment and quality performance.Support pretreatment, electrocoat, primer, basecoat, clearcoat and curing processes.Investigate paint defects and implement corrective actions.Support robots, spray guns, booths, ovens, pumps and conveyors.Coordinate maintenance and reduce breakdowns, downtime, rework and scrap.Lead improvements in quality, production, paint usage, energy consumption and equipment reliability.Support new-model launches, new processes, equipment installation and commissioning.Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, chemical-handling and PPE requirements.Train operators and technicians and prepare production, quality and downtime reports.Work with suppliers, contractors and cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.1–3 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, paint-shop operations, industrial coatings or process engineering.Knowledge of automotive paint processes, process control and paint-defect analysis.Good problem-solving, communication, teamwork and data-analysis skills.Ability to work hands-on in a production environment.
