About the role
ADNOC is seeking a seasoned leader to drive the strategic direction and optimisation of its gas portfolio. The Vice President, Gas Portfolio & Master Planning will play a critical role in shaping long-term gas strategies, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, market dynamics, and the UAE’s energy priorities.
This role will lead enterprise-wide master planning initiatives, enhance portfolio value, and ensure operational excellence, sustainability, and regulatory compliance across gas operations.
Key responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of ADNOC’s gas portfolio strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities and long-term value creation
Oversee integrated master planning, including resource allocation, infrastructure development, and optimisation of gas assets
Provide strategic insights on market trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies to inform executive decision-making
Drive the establishment of strategic partnerships to strengthen ADNOC’s position across the gas value chain
Lead and align cross-functional teams to deliver strategic initiatives and achieve business objectives
Monitor portfolio performance and implement measures to maximise efficiency, reliability, and sustainability
Champion risk management practices to proactively address sector challenges and uncertainties
Ensure strict compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and governance standards
Drive innovation and continuous improvement to enhance operational and commercial outcomes
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all gas portfolio and planning matters

Lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
Strengthen collaboration across internal functions to ensure seamless execution of strategic plans

Internal: Work closely with executive leadership, business units, and corporate functions to drive alignment and execution of integrated strategies.
External: Engage with regulators, partners, and industry stakeholders to support ADNOC’s strategic objectives and enhance its market position.
Qualifications & experience
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related discipline
Master’s degree preferred
Experience:
Minimum 15 years of experience within the energy sector, with strong exposure to gas portfolio management and strategic planning
Proven track record in leading large-scale, complex initiatives within a dynamic environment
