Job purpose
Lead integrated planning and value chain optimization across ADNOC Gas – current assets, ongoing projects and emerging opportunities – to maximize value, flexibility and capital efficiency and optimize capital deployment.
Key accountabilities
Lead integrated asset portfolio management across current assets, ongoing projects and emerging opportunities.
Conduct comprehensive value chain assessments and ensure alignment with ADNOC Upstream, DM&T and other Group entities to capture synergies and unlock value across the gas value chain.
Develop and maintain long-term capacity, production and infrastructure plans, ensuring strategic integration across assets, projects and future expansions, including long-term production planning for the business plan.
Identify, conduct initial high-level evaluation of, and prioritise new growth projects including debottlenecking, capacity expansions and capital investments that enhance portfolio competitiveness.
Optimize long-term molecule allocation and supply–demand balancing for maximum portfolio efficiency and sustainable profitability.
Support investment governance through robust portfolio analytics, scenario testing and strategic recommendations to executive management.
Screen opportunities to avoid, defer or optimize CAPEX before new builds, and quantify and minimise curtailment using portfolio optimization logic.
Build, lead and develop the planning and optimization team, with emphasis on UAE National development in line with Emiratisation targets.
Operate at portfolio level while the deep technical bench for simulation and design sits in Engineering – the role must direct without owning that resource.
Manage a cross-divisional matrix interface without slowing decision cycles.
Protect technical credibility and retention through an organisational transition of an existing high-performing team.
Balance near-term optimization value against the long-term signals coming from Business Intelligence (Outlooks & Scenario Planning).
Make recommendations that survive Investment Committee and value assurance scrutiny.
Ensure continuity of delivery through the transition with no loss of the CAPEX avoidance and capacity unlock track record.
Be a single, trusted long-term capacity and production plan used by Finance, Marketing and Operations.
Maintain a live, prioritised growth projects pipeline with defensible high-level economics.
Be the interface with Engineering on priorities flow out, technical answers flow back.
Ensure proper documentation, verification and value delivered.
Minimum requirements
Bachelor degree in Engineering or Business.
At least 10 years experience in integrated planning and value chain optimization.
