Role overview
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment supported by experienced consultants, nurses, allied health professionals and modern diagnostic and treatment infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
Deliver specialist-level anaesthesia care for elective and emergency surgical cases across multiple specialties.
Conduct pre-anaesthetic assessments, risk stratification, and perioperative optimisation for complex patients.
Provide general, regional, neuraxial, and monitored anaesthesia care in line with hospital protocols.
Manage airway emergencies, postoperative recovery, acute pain, and perioperative complications.
Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, nurses, and theatre teams to ensure safe patient flow.
Support clinical governance, morbidity reviews, and quality improvement within operating theatre services.
