Responsible for the formulation and execution of contracts in an oil & gas/petrochemical environment, from award to contract close out.Plans, develops and administers tenders and contracts for the Plant and Head office pertaining to operational, technical, maintenance and general services.Ensure efficient administration of post-award activities and implementation of contract terms.Arrange for Contract close out, Contractor’s Performance Report and release of Performance Bank Guarantees.Ensures timely receipt of contractors’ performance bank guarantee, monitors Contractors’ performance against project schedules and extensions of time.Develops claims and recommendations for liquidated damages, call of performance bonds and penalties.Develops counterclaims against Contractors’ claims.Strictly monitors legal and statutory provisions of contracts.Provides Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) support and prepares cases defending against Contractor claims.Advises on contractual matters by providing interpretations, comments or assistance in resolving problems.Processes any Contract variation and reviews contractor claims/develops counterclaims.Coordinates evaluation and measurement of contractor performance, obtains feedback from work sites and updates records.Coordinates approval of contractor invoices, verifies work progress with site and ensures compliance with contract terms.Ensures all activities are consistent with good commercial practice and highlights potential legal or commercial problems.Complies with Company HSE Management System and promotes awareness to achieve Company HSE Objectives.
