Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist who is fluent in Arabic to join a leading healthcare organization in Qatar. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with a wide range of mental health conditions while delivering compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered care.The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support the mental wellbeing of patients across inpatient and outpatient settings.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess, diagnose, and manage psychiatric disorders including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, and other mental health conditions.Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, and medication management.Conduct psychotherapy, counseling, and behavioral interventions where appropriate.Manage inpatient and outpatient psychiatric cases.Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, neurologists, primary care physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.Provide crisis intervention and emergency psychiatric care when required.Educate patients and families regarding mental health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive strategies.Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with Qatar healthcare regulations and hospital policies.Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, research, and continuing medical education programs.Ensure adherence to patient confidentiality, ethical standards, and mental health best practices.Qualifications & RequirementsMBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by Qatar healthcare authorities.Board Certification / Fellowship in Psychiatry.Valid QCHP/DHP Consultant License or Eligibility Letter.Minimum 5–7 years of post-board consultant experience in Psychiatry within a reputed hospital or mental health center.Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory.Strong expertise in adult psychiatry and mental health management.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling skills.Preferred SkillsExperience in multicultural and multidisciplinary healthcare environments.Exposure to community psychiatry and psychotherapy programs.Academic and research experience is an advantage.Ability to manage complex psychiatric and behavioral health cases.BenefitsCompetitive tax-free salaryFamily benefitsHealth insuranceHousing and transportation allowanceAnnual airfare allowancePaid annual leaveCME and professional development support
