To perform minor repairs and replacements to all hinges and door closures. Responsible for the repair and maintenance of all furnishings, i.e. chairs, tables, cabinets etc. Will be required to work with such material as wood, fibre-board, Formica, glass and plasterboard. Responsible for carrying out minor constructions and installations. Responsible for giving Store Controller information in order to facilitate accurate stock control of materials. Responsible to report any potential hazard noted whilst on duty. Responsible for ensuring that the supplied uniform is clean and in good repair. Unless it is an emergency, ensure a clean and tidy appearance before entering a Guest Area and if necessary, change into a clean uniform. Responsible for using the appropriate safety clothing/ equipment and for following all maintenance instructions as laid down by the HOD. Responsible for assisting other personnel in emergencies and for carrying out other Engineering duties that may be required by the Asst. Chief Engineer and according to the needs of the Department. Attend on job / off job trainings when assigned. Follow the department and hotel policies and procedures. Strictly adhere the hotel safety, risk management and emergency policies and procedures. Responsible for keeping working area tidy and in good order.
