Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.8–10+ years of relevant experience, including solid experience in both General Accounting and Cost Accounting.Previous experience in Construction and/or Real Estate companies is required.Strong understanding of project costing, budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.Hands-on experience with ERP systems is required.Strong knowledge of taxation and accounting principles.Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.Strong leadership and team-management capabilities.
Description
Lead and supervise cost accounting activities and ensure accurate and timely cost reporting.Monitor and analyze project costs, including direct and indirect costs, materials, labor, subcontractors, and overhead expenses.Prepare and analyze project cost reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.Monitor actual costs against approved budgets and investigate significant variances.Maintain accurate cost allocation across projects, cost centers, and business units.Support project teams in monitoring financial performance and identifying cost-control opportunities.Review project expenditures, purchase orders, subcontractor costs, and related accounting entries.Prepare monthly closing activities related to cost accounting and ensure accurate cost recognition.Coordinate with General Accounting, Finance, Procurement, Projects, and Planning teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency.Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, cost accounts, and project-related balances.Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial reports and management reports.Ensure proper accounting treatment for construction projects, work in progress (WIP), and project-related expenses.Support budgeting and forecasting processes and provide financial insights to management.Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable tax and regulatory requirements.Develop and improve cost-control procedures and accounting processes.
