Job responsibility Collaborate with school staff to support the inclusion of students with special educational needs in mainstream classrooms. Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN. Plan and deliver adapted core lessons based on learning needs. Provide support and guidance to teachers on implementing inclusive practices in the classroom. Monitor the progress and data of students with SEN and adjust teaching strategies as needed. Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and external specialists to ensure the best outcomes for students with SEN. Stay up-to-date on best practices in inclusive education and participate in professional development opportunities. Proficiency in creating inclusive learning environments Strong understanding of special education needs and accommodations. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and colleagues. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students. Knowledge of various teaching strategies and assessment methods for students with special needs. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting all students. Experience in developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and English Language Plans (ELP). Familiarity with assistive technology and other tools to support student learning and development. Ability to adapt to changing environments and remain flexible in challenging situations. Candidate requirements PGCE or bachelor's degree in a related field. Special Educational Needs (SEN) qualification is mandatory. Qualified teacher with experience working with students with SEN in an educational setting.
