We are currently seeking ITS professionals for an exciting opportunity within a major Traffic Operations / Intelligent Transport Systems environment in the Middle East.We're particularly interested in professionals with experience across Traffic Operations Management, ITS, RMC and Tunnel Control Centre operations, SCATS, traffic engineering, operational performance, data analysis, incident management and major-event traffic planning.Job Purpose :Responsible for the monitoring and reporting on the operational performance of the Roads Management Centre (RMC) and Tunnels Control Centres and for leading the analysis and preparation of operational improvement strategies.Manage the monthly performance reporting of the RMC and Tunnels Operations and the ad-hoc reporting required to support major incidents and special eventsReponsibilities:Close management of the subcontractors that are providing the SCATS and traffic engineering support for RMC and Tunnels to ensure on-road performance is optimized and aligned with the performance measures being implemented for corridor performance and incident management.Manage the production and review of the monthly performance reports for RMC and Tunnels operations ensuring the deadlines and quality standards are met.Coordinate ad-hoc major incident and special event reporting and lead the lessons learned and best practice assessments for such reportsLead the data and process analysis activities to develop and deliver a traffic engineering improvements plan that details SCATS traffic signal management improvements and incident and event management improvements.Manage the recording and response to customer complaints relating to the RMC and Tunnels operations, ensuring responses and actions are performed within the Service Level Agreement (SLA) timings. Lead the root cause analysis of complaints.Focal point for special event coordination with key stakeholders such as Ministry of Interior, Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy and the Ministry of Transport.sManage the traffic response plan preparation for special events and the necessary configuration of the traffic management systems to support the response plans.Analyze the configuration and effectiveness of existing traffic management response plans and develop and deliver a program of improvements, managing traffic simulation modelling, data analysis and traffic engineering activities accordingly.Education and Experience :Bachelor's degree in Transportation Planning, Computer Science or similarMinimum of 10 years experience in the Transportation Planning and Management space with a proven track record in managing, ideally in the Middle East regionExpertise with Traffic Modelling systems and Data Analysis tools.Experience in leading traffic studies and major event traffic management planning.Experience with delivering management level reporting and meeting contractual deadlines.
