Requirements:

Fully qualified teacher holding BEd, MEd, PGCE, QTS or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years’ experience as an inclusion teacher, SENCO or other role relating to specialist student support.

Core Responsibilities

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of inclusion programs and strategies.
Ensure the curriculum is delivered in an exciting and challenging way and meets the needs of individual pupils.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external partners to ensure a nurturing and inclusive learning atmosphere.
Assist teachers in the development of children’s individual goals, e.g. assist with planning.
Familiarise themselves with and work towards the child’s IEP.
Maintain discretion and confidentiality where individual needs are concerned.
Communicate professionally at all times with pupils, their families, outside agencies and all staff members.
Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
A genuine passion for inclusion and a commitment to promoting an inclusive culture within the school.
Strong understanding of inclusive education practices and principles.
