Requirements
Completion of an approved Phlebotomy program and/or a minimum 6-month program in Medical Laboratory Sciences. Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience as a Phlebotomist. Valid DOH/DHA Medical License and relevant specialty qualification. BLS certification; ACLS/PALS is an advantage where relevant to the specialty. Strong knowledge of phlebotomy procedures, specimen handling, infection control, and laboratory best practices. Good English communication skills; Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.

NRL provides world-class diagnostic services to the M42 network and partners with more than 250 clients from a wide range of market segments, including private and government hospitals, medical centers and clinics, corporate organizations, and other reference laboratories.As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality phlebotomy and specimen collection services while creating a positive experience for every patient. You will work with a diverse range of patients and collaborate with healthcare and laboratory teams to ensure accurate, timely, and safe specimen collection.ResponsibilitiesPerform venipuncture and blood collection for pediatric, adult, pregnant, and geriatric patients using appropriate techniques and equipment.Verify patient information, test requests, and relevant medical history prior to specimen collection.Collect, label, process, store, and transport blood, urine, and culture specimens accurately and safely.Ensure high-quality and sufficient specimens are obtained, ideally within the first two attempts.Provide clear, compassionate, and culturally sensitive communication to patients throughout the phlebotomy process.Prioritize STAT, scheduled, and outpatient requests while ensuring timely specimen processing.Maintain aseptic techniques, hygiene, infection control, and patient safety standards.Ensure compliance with M42, DOH/DHA, accreditation, and laboratory quality standards, including applicable CAP and ISO requirements.QualificationsCompletion of an approved Phlebotomy program and/or a minimum 6-month program in Medical Laboratory Sciences.Minimum 1 year of post-qualification experience as a Phlebotomist.Valid DOH/DHA Medical License and relevant specialty qualification.BLS certification; ACLS/PALS is an advantage where relevant to the specialty.Strong knowledge of phlebotomy procedures, specimen handling, infection control, and laboratory best practices.Good English communication skills; Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.
