About the role

At DP World, we keep global trade moving by connecting businesses, markets, and opportunities. As an Ocean Freight Forwarder, you will play an important role in coordinating international and domestic shipments, ensuring that goods move efficiently, compliantly, and on time.

Working as part of a collaborative logistics team in Antwerp, you will manage end-to-end freight forwarding activities, liaise with customers and service providers, and contribute to delivering reliable supply chain solutions. Your work will directly support customer success, operational excellence, and the continued growth of our logistics services.

 

How you will contribute

  • Coordinate ocean freight shipments and arrange transportation solutions through sea, road, and rail networks based on customer requirements.
  • Manage shipment bookings and collaborate with carriers, shipping lines, trucking companies, customs brokers, and other logistics partners.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain accurate import/export documentation to support smooth customs clearance and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor shipment progress and proactively provide customers with updates, guidance, and support throughout the transportation process.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and identifying practical solutions.
  • Support supply chain efficiency by coordinating activities with suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and other stakeholders.
  • Negotiate spot rates with carriers and vendors to support competitive pricing and operational performance.
  • Identify potential transportation, compliance, or cargo-related risks and contribute to effective mitigation measures.
  • Utilize freight forwarding systems, tracking platforms, and digital tools to ensure visibility, accuracy, and efficient shipment management.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance service quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
