We are looking for a highly motivated, English-speaking Business Development Representative (BDR) to help us develop new commercial customers across multiple U.S. markets.This is a long-term, part-time remote position for someone who wants to develop real business relationships and take ownership of a portfolio of accounts.We are not looking for someone whose only responsibility is to make a certain number of calls, read a script, or book appointments.We are looking for a business development professional who will learn our products and markets, research prospective companies, identify decision-makers, speak directly with business owners and managers, discover their needs and problems, develop relationships over multiple contacts, and ultimately convert qualified prospects into customers.The successful candidate should eventually think of assigned prospects as their accounts and take responsibility for developing them over time.ResponsibilitiesApproximately 70% of the position will involve business development and sales, including: Researching prospective U.S. businesses Identifying owners, managers, buyers, and other decision-makers Making outbound B2B calls to U.S. companies Getting through gatekeepers and reaching the appropriate decision-maker Conducting discovery conversations rather than simply reading a script Learning what products and processes prospects currently use Identifying customer problems, pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities Asking intelligent follow-up questions Understanding the business consequences of customer problems Explaining our product only when it is relevant to the customer's needs Handling objections professionally Asking qualified prospects for an order or appropriate next step Following up consistently over multiple contacts Developing prospects into long-term commercial customers Identifying dealer, distributor, referral, and account-expansion opportunities Developing assigned markets and territories over time
