Job Summary:The Facility Engineer (MEP) is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and improvement of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the facility. This role ensures that all MEP systems are functioning efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. The Facility Engineer will coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to oversee inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities.Key Responsibilities:Operation & MaintenanceSupervise and coordinate the daily operations and preventive maintenance of all MEP systems, including HVAC, fire protection, water supply, drainage, electrical systems, and backup generators.Ensure uninterrupted functioning of critical services such as air conditioning, lighting, power distribution, and water systems.Troubleshooting & RepairDiagnose faults in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and recommend/implement corrective actions.Respond promptly to emergency calls related to system failures or malfunctions.Compliance & SafetyEnsure all MEP systems comply with local codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.Conduct routine inspections and audits to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.Vendor & Contractor CoordinationManage third-party service providers and contractors for maintenance, repair, or upgrade works.Review technical submittals, drawings, and method statements related to MEP systems.Documentation & ReportingMaintain detailed records of maintenance activities, service logs, equipment manuals, and inspection reports. Generate reports on system performance, downtime, maintenance costs, and improvement plans.Energy ManagementMonitor energy and utility usage; recommend improvements to increase energy efficiency and reduce operating costs.Assist in the planning and implementation of energy-saving initiatives.
