The company works closely with clients, consultants, designers, contractors, and project teams to deliver projects to high standards of quality and professionalism.Decorama values attention to detail, client satisfaction, teamwork, and continuous professional development.Role DescriptionEstimator – Joinery & Interior Fit-OutThe Estimator – Joinery & Interior Fit-Out will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and quotations for joinery, carpentry, and interior fit-out projects.The role involves reviewing architectural drawings, joinery drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements, carrying out detailed quantity take-offs, preparing material and labour costing, and obtaining supplier and subcontractor quotations.The Estimator will work closely with the design, production, procurement, project management, and site teams to understand project requirements, verify quantities, identify scope gaps, and ensure accurate pricing.Key responsibilities include preparing detailed BOQs and cost breakdowns, analyzing material requirements and finishes, comparing supplier prices, maintaining updated cost databases, identifying value-engineering opportunities, and preparing professional quotations within required deadlines.Key ResponsibilitiesReview architectural, interior, joinery, and technical drawings.Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and BOQs.Estimate costs for custom joinery, carpentry, cabinetry, doors, wall cladding, partitions, counters, furniture, and interior fit-out works.Calculate material, labour, manufacturing, installation, transportation, and other project costs.Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.Maintain updated material and supplier price databases.Prepare accurate and competitive project quotations.Identify scope discrepancies, exclusions, variations, and potential risks.Coordinate with the design, production, procurement, and project teams.Support value engineering and cost-saving proposals.Review tender documents and prepare tender submissions.Maintain organized records of estimates, quotations, BOQs, and cost breakdowns.Follow up on submitted quotations and assist with commercial negotiations when required.Qualifications & RequirementsProven experience as an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor / Cost Estimator in joinery, carpentry, interior fit-out, or construction.Strong knowledge of joinery and interior fit-out materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes.Ability to accurately read and interpret architectural, interior, joinery, and technical drawings.Strong quantity take-off and costing skills.Good knowledge of Excel and estimation/costing software.Basic to advanced knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.Understanding of material pricing, labour costs, production costs, and installation requirements.Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Good communication and coordination skills.Ability to manage multiple quotations and meet tight tender deadlines.Knowledge of Qatar/GCC construction market rates and suppliers is an advantage.Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field is preferred.Previous experience in Qatar or the GCC will be an advantage.
