Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, procurement, or supply chain, with a minimum of 8 years of total experience, including at least 5 years of relevant procurement experience in Power, Infrastructure, Construction, EPC, or Utilities. Essential experience in procuring project materials and equipment, with GCC experience being an advantage. Key skills include strong knowledge of procurement for these sectors, understanding technical specifications, excellent negotiation and supplier management abilities, and proficiency in MS Office and Excel. SAP/ERP procurement experience is preferred, and professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain is advantageous.

Job SummaryThe Procurement Engineer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for Power, Infrastructure, and Construction projects. The role works closely with Engineering, Projects, and Site teams to ensure materials are procured with the required quality, competitive cost, and on-time delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesManage procurement of electrical, mechanical, civil, construction, and infrastructure materials and equipment.Review technical specifications, drawings, BOQs, and purchase requisitions.Source and develop qualified suppliers and manufacturers.Obtain, evaluate, and compare supplier quotations.Coordinate with Engineering and Project teams for technical approvals.Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.Prepare and process purchase orders in line with company procedures.Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery as per project requirements.Monitor critical and long-lead materials and equipment.Coordinate with Site, Quality, Logistics, and Warehouse teams for inspection and delivery.Monitor supplier performance and resolve quality, delivery, and commercial issues.Maintain supplier and procurement records in SAP/ERP systems.Support cost-saving and value-engineering initiatives.Conduct market research for suppliers, pricing, availability, and alternative materials.Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, project requirements, quality standards, and HSE requirements.Key SkillsGood knowledge of procurement for Power, Infrastructure, and Construction projects.Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, civil, and construction materials and equipment.Ability to understand technical specifications, drawings, BOQs, and project requirements.Good quotation evaluation and negotiation skills.Strong supplier management and follow-up skills.Good communication and coordination skills.Good knowledge of MS Office and Excel.SAP/ERP procurement experience is preferred.ExperienceMinimum 8 years of total experience.Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement experience in Power, Infrastructure, Construction, EPC, Utilities, or related industries.Experience in procurement of project materials and equipment is essential.GCC experience is an advantage.EducationBachelor's degree in engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field.Professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain is an advantage.
