We are recruiting for a Principal Avionics and Flight Control Systems Engineer to join a greenfield aerospace programme based in Dubai. This is a senior technical role with responsibility for developing the detailed architecture of a triple redundant flight control system and supporting its progression from concept through certification.
Working under the direction of the Chief Engineer, Avionics and Flight Systems, you will own the detailed Flight Control System architecture, interfaces, operating states and modes, and the DO-178C DAL A planning artefacts required to support civil aircraft certification.
Key Responsibilities
Define the flight control computer architecture, including processing allocation, redundancy management, voting logic, monitoring and cross channel communication.
Develop flight control states and modes covering manual, augmented and autonomous operation.
Define transition logic for nominal and degraded operating conditions.
Develop and own Interface Control Documents between the Flight Control System and propulsion, pilot controls, electrical power, avionics buses, navigation sensors and mission systems.
Define control authority limits in collaboration with Flight Sciences and support development of the structural loads envelope.
Produce DO-178C DAL A planning artefacts, including PSAC, SDP and SVP.
Coordinate with hardware engineering teams on flight control computer hardware and software interfaces and DO-254 assurance.
Apply ARP4754A or ARP4754B processes throughout system development.
Support integration, verification and certification activities across the aircraft programme.
Work across Flight Sciences, Propulsion, Structures, Avionics and Mission Systems to ensure successful system integration.
