Requirements
Requires a B.Sc. in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Construction Engineering with a minimum of 15 years of experience in construction planning with a major Tier-1 Main Contractor, specializing in MEP integration. Proven experience on major building/infrastructure projects in the UAE or GCC region is essential. Expert knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, Power BI, FIDIC contracts, SCL delay protocols, and GCC utility/authority regulations is required. PSP or PMP credentials are preferred.

The Head of Planning – MEP leads all MEP scheduling, sequencing, and progress controls for major main contracting projects across the UAE & GCC. The role bridges heavy civil/structural/Infra works with MEP services—managing Master Baseline Programs from pre-construction procurement to site installation, Energization, Testing & Commissioning (T&C), and authority handovers.Key Responsibilities1. Baseline & Civil/MEP Interface IntegrationDevelop and govern integrated Primavera P6 Master Programs aligning MEP sequences with civil handovers, slab casts, and BIM 4D models.Schedule Builders Works Requirements (BWR) and site coordination to eliminate clashes and rework.2. Procurement, Logistics & Heavy PlantTrack Long Lead Items (LLIs) from vendor engineering, FAT, and GCC customs to site delivery.Schedule heavy equipment lifting, plant room access, and temporary site power/utilities.3. Site Execution, T&C & HandoversCreate micro-programs for site rough-ins, high-level containment, riser drops, wire pulls, and device trimming.Drive the critical sequence: Civil Handover - Energization - Integrated Systems Testing (IST) - Authority Approvals (DEWA, Civil Defence, Kahramaa).4. Delay Analysis & Subcontractor AuditPerform forensic delay analysis (TIA, As-Planned vs. As-Built) per SCL Protocols to substantiate Main Contractor EOT claims.Audit and integrate MEP subcontractor schedules, challenging unrealistic productivities and logic links.5. Progress Tracking & EVMTrack Earned Value Management (SPI/CPI) against physical site metrics (ductwork tonnage, piping line-meters, terminations).Conduct site audits and chair weekly progress/recovery meetings with site leadership and subcontractors.Candidate RequirementsExperience: Minimum 15+ years in construction planning with a major Tier-1 Main Contractor, specializing in MEP integration.GCC Track Record: Proven experience on major building/infrastructure projects in the UAE or GCC region.Education: B.Sc. in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Construction Engineering.
