Job purpose
The drilling supervisor is responsible for the overall safety and reliability of the equipment and crew, and for the effective and efficient management of drilling activities offshore.
Principal accountabilities
Ensure a complete and up-to-date inventory of available spare items and equipment is always maintained.
Keep a well-documented log of all activities that are mobilized with the drilling unit.
Supervise the dismantling and demobilization of the drilling unit equipment and its maintenance during idle periods.
Maintain a log of equipment condition before and after piling activities to record and indicate specific equipment that requires maintenance work.
Liaise regularly with the chief mechanic to ensure the timely inspection and maintenance of equipment.
Take necessary actions to establish and maintain a safe working environment.
In the event of an emergency where potential risk is involved, carry out the drilling operation in an appropriate manner, ensuring the safety of the crew.
Ensure compliance with company codes and HSE standards.
Educational qualifications and certifications
