Requirements
B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, preferably Production, Mechanical Design, or Mechatronics.5–10 years of relevant experience in mechanical or industrial equipment design.Strong hands-on experience with SolidWorks.Excellent knowledge of:Sheet Metal.Weldments.Mechanical assemblies.Manufacturing drawings.BOM preparation.Tolerances and fits.GD&T fundamentals.Good understanding of steel fabrication processes, including laser cutting, bending, welding, machining, and assembly.Ability to design equipment from concept through manufacturing drawings.Experience following designs through workshop fabrication and prototype testing.Ability to independently solve mechanical design problems.Strong documentation and organizational skills.Experience with conveyors, dust collectors, blasting equipment, industrial ventilation, material handling, or similar industrial machinery is an advantage.Previous team-lead or mentoring experience is an advantage but not mandatory.Good English technical reading and writing skills.
Description
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join and gradually lead a new engineering design office focused on industrial equipment and machinery.The role will involve developing, improving, standardizing, and documenting existing equipment designs, as well as designing new industrial products and systems.Main responsibilities include:Design industrial machinery, equipment, steel structures, and mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks.Develop existing company designs into standardized and repeatable products.Prepare complete 3D models, manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs.Design sheet-metal components, weldments, frames, ducts, hoppers, conveyors, tanks, and fabricated assemblies.Review manufacturability and optimize designs for cutting, bending, welding, assembly, and maintenance.Perform engineering calculations and component selection where required.Maintain proper drawing revisions, design documentation, and engineering records.Coordinate with workshops and suppliers during prototype manufacturing and production.Attend workshop visits when required for prototype inspection, testing, and design improvement.Support current projects with technical drawings and engineering documentation.Help establish design standards, templates, libraries, and engineering procedures.In the future, supervise junior design engineers as the engineering team grows.The work is focused on industrial equipment and machine design, not MEP design.
