Lead and manage the complete design and engineering activities from concept and detailed design through construction support and project handover.Develop design strategies, engineering plans, deliverable schedules, and technical execution plans in line with project requirements.Manage multidisciplinary engineering activities covering civil, structural, architectural, MEP, electrical, mechanical, and other relevant disciplines.Review project scope, contract documents, specifications, BOQs, drawings, and employer requirements to establish design deliverables and technical requirements.Lead design development and ensure engineering solutions are practical, cost-effective, constructible, and aligned with project objectives.Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities, contractors, subcontractors, and internal project teams on all design and engineering matters.Review and manage engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, technical reports, design submissions, and other project deliverables.Establish design review and approval processes and ensure timely submission and closure of technical comments.Ensure designs comply with applicable UAE regulations, authority requirements, international codes, project specifications, and contractual obligations.Coordinate technical interfaces between different engineering disciplines and identify and resolve design clashes and discrepancies.Work closely with BIM teams to ensure coordinated models, drawings, and engineering information are developed and maintained.Manage design changes, technical queries, RFIs, design revisions, and engineering variations throughout the project lifecycle.Review constructability of designs and provide technical support to construction teams during project execution.Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure engineering specifications and technical requirements are aligned with procurement packages.Provide technical inputs for material selection, equipment specifications, vendor drawings, and technical submittals.Review and evaluate consultant, contractor, and vendor design submissions and ensure compliance with project requirements.Manage technical risks and identify opportunities for value engineering, design optimization, and cost reduction.Ensure design deliverables are issued in accordance with approved project schedules and construction requirements.Monitor engineering progress and prepare regular design status reports, dashboards, and management updates.Manage and mentor design and engineering teams, assign responsibilities, and monitor individual and team performance.Coordinate technical workshops, design review meetings, constructability reviews, and interdisciplinary coordination sessions.Support project teams in resolving technical issues, site queries, non-conformities, and design-related construction challenges.Ensure proper document control, revision management, design records, and technical documentation throughout the project.Coordinate preparation and review of as-built drawings, operation and maintenance documentation, and final engineering deliverables.Drive continuous improvement, engineering best practices, standardization, and lessons learned across projects.
